If you have a Google Doc, Google Slide, or Google Sheet, you can have it displayed on your Today page. The document will be a LIVE display, meaning that changes made to the document will immediately update and be reflected on the LENS Today Page Update.

In your Google Slides document:

Below will outline the instructions for google slides, the same instructions are applicable for google docs and google sheets.

Access your slide's embed code:

  • Open google document

  • Select File > Publish to Web (if this option is greyed out, troubleshoot here)

  • Select Embed

  • Click PUBLISH if this is your first time publishing this document

  • Set slide duration with Auto-advance slides

  • Copy the iframe code from the text box

In LENS:

  • Navigate to the Today Page

  • Create a new update (make sure it is ๐Ÿ“Œ Pinned to the Today Page)

  • Select the โ‹ฎ 3-dot menu

  • Select <> Code View

  • PASTE the copied embed code

  • Click <> code view icon again to process the code

  • Click SAVE

Troubleshoot: Publish to Web is not an option

If "Publish to Web" is not an option, this may be because your slide deck is saved in .PPTX format as denoted in the top next to the title.

In order to publish to the web, the slides must be saved as Google Slides

  • select File

  • select Save as Google Slides

  • the Google Slides version will open in a new tab

  • full functionality, including Publish to Web, will be available again
