This month the Product Team has been hard at work on a variety of new features and bug fixes in LENS, most notably a redesign of the behind-the-scenes functionality of the Today page. Check out some of the changes below!
⭐️ Today Page backend redesign ⭐️
Though you may not notice a visual difference in the Today page you will probably notice a major improvement in the loading speed! Our wonderful engineers have made significant optimizations to improve this page and how quickly it is able to display your unit's content.
⭐️ New loading messages added ⭐️
Though ideally LENS would not need any loading messages, for many units they are a fun reminder or way to start off their huddle while they wait for their internet connection to catch up. Within this release we have added 16 new phrases to look out for, including one of our favorites that was recommended by H. McCrary, "Don't let best get in the way of better".
⭐️ Search Page waits until search is submitted to load results ⭐️
Previously when you navigated to the Search page the search query based on the initial state of the page would automatically run. This could become cumbersome when the results took more than a few seconds to appear. Now a search will not run until you have selected your desired parameters and pushed the 'Search' button.
🐛 Bug Fixes 🐛
Some updates created more than two years ago did not have the menu option listed to archive or unarchive them. Now all updates can be archived as expected.
The 'Move Issue' functionality of an issue on the Search page now works as expected.
The auto-provisioning process for some systems has been improved to audit for users that should no longer belong to a facility or unit and remove their Core User status. This helps to prevent unexpectedly low User Engagement reports.
Issue page loading time has been dramatically improved.
The Unit Reports page bad for some boards has been fixed so that all data displays as expected.
