  1. Open Chrome and Navigate to the Website

  2. Access Chrome’s Menu

    • Once the website is fully loaded, click on the three vertical dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome to open the browser menu.

  3. Open 'More Tools' Menu

    • In the dropdown menu, hover your cursor over More Tools to expand another menu.

  4. Click on ‘Create Shortcut’

    • From the list of options, click on Create shortcut.

  5. Name Your Shortcut

    • A small window will pop up asking you to name the shortcut.

    • You can keep the default name or enter your own preferred name for the shortcut, like "LENS".

  6. Choose the ‘Open as Window’ Option (Optional)

    • To make the website behave more like an app, check the box that says Open as window. This will open the website in a standalone window without the Chrome address bar or browser controls.

    • If you want it to open in a standard Chrome tab, you can leave this option unchecked.

  7. Create the Shortcut

    • Once named, click the Create button.

  8. Locate the Shortcut on Your Desktop

    • The shortcut for https://EXAMPLE.safeandreliable.care/ will now appear on your desktop (Windows) or in your Applications folder (macOS).

    • You can double-click this icon anytime to quickly access the website.

Bonus: Pin the Shortcut to Taskbar or Dock

  • On Windows: You can drag the shortcut from the desktop to the taskbar to pin it for even quicker access.

  • On macOS: Drag the shortcut from the Applications folder to your Dock for quick access.

Now you’ll have an easy-to-access icon for the LENS app right on your desktop!
