Use LENS for Rounding Accountability
LENS is a powerful tool for healthcare leaders to track and analyze their rounding behaviors. With LENS, leaders can easily record rounds from their mobile devices without having to log into the system, making it fast and convenient. In this article, we will give an overview of how to use LENS for rounding accountability.
Why Use LENS for Rounding Accountability?
By using LENS for rounding accountability, leaders can easily track and analyze their rounding behaviors, identify areas for improvement, and hold themselves and their team accountable.
The Process
First, leaders need to text #rounded to any LENS board in the facility. LENS will then pass back a unique link that the leader can use to record their rounds. This link is specific to the leader and their facility, ensuring that the data is accurate and relevant.
If a leader's phone number is already registered in LENS, the round will be automatically associated with their name. This makes it easier for leaders to keep track of their rounds and ensures that the data is accurate.
Once the round is completed, leaders will receive a confirmation and can add another round if needed. This allows for real-time data collection and analysis, making it easier for leaders to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Benefits for Non-LENS Units
Not all units have LENS boards, but that doesn't mean they can't benefit from using LENS for rounding accountability. Facilities can manage the list of units included in leader rounds, even if those units don't have LENS boards. This means that leaders can gather structured data on their rounding behaviors, even in less mature LENS organizations.
By using LENS for rounding accountability, leaders can analyze their rounding behaviors as a team. This allows for open communication and collaboration, as leaders can hold themselves and each other accountable for their rounding practices.
