A Facility Announcement is a feature available upon request. It can be helpful for relaying information, updates, news, or announcements across an entire facility. Just as an update on the today page is broadcast to all board members, a facility announcement is broadcast to all boards within a facility. When this feature is requested, select users are given permissions to create, edit, and archive facility announcements.
The creation of a Facility Announcement is much like the creation of an Update card on the Today Page. Use the same text editor and modal that you are used to with updates, but broadcast to a bigger audience. Facility Announcements appear as a card on the Today Page.
If you have been given permissions to create a Facility Announcements, here are simple steps to create an announcement:
Navigate to the Today Page. (Any entity within the facility will work.)
Locate the Facility Announcement card indicated by a flag with a megaphone icon. If you have editing rights, it should look like this: (note the 3 dot menu to the right of the title)
Select the 3 dot menu and click
✏️ EditA modal will appear. Give your announcement a title and description.
Select
SAVE.
Your Facility Announcement will immediately be posted on the Today Page across all boards within the facility. Anytime you edit and update an announcement, it will pop up to the top right of the Today Page.
If you expect to see the facility announcement but do not see it on your board, be sure it is toggled on from the "rearrange panels" menu
