Add a Moment of Relaxation and Calm to the Today Page

Self-care is an important activity that can lead to better balance and wellness. It is also a critical component in combating burnout that front line staff face daily. Help your team members maintain a healthy relationship with themselves by giving them opportunities to find relaxation and calm with a pinned update on the Today Page.

Disclaimer: The screenshots in this article were captured using an earlier version of LENS. While some visuals may look different, the overall functionality remains essentially the same.

Creating a pinned update with an embedded YouTube video is easy:

  • Navigate to the Today Page

  • Create a new Update by clicking the โž• Quick Add button on the lower left

  • Add a Title

To embed a YouTube video:

  • Click โž• More Rich

  • Click ๐Ÿ“น Insert Video

  • Paste ๐Ÿ”— URL

  • Click Insert

  • Click Save and enjoy the relaxation and calm

Relaxing Video Examples:

๐Ÿ  Marine Aquarium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bon_HwuuKRk

๐ŸŽ Jellyfish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ygU_fEZ1-s

โ›ฐ๏ธ Mountains & Aurora Borealis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sH05pHZuptA

Tip: Make sure the Update is pinned. You can also click "Show in Kiosk Mode" to play as a screensaver on LENS.

Pro-Tip: If you modify the embed code to thisโ€ฆ

<p><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="100%" height="600" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Bon_HwuuKRk?&feature=emb_logo&wmode=opaque&rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br></p>

The video fits the update and appears even nicer!
