Embedding a Weather Widget from Windy.com on the Today Page

If you prefer a different look than the default weather app in LENS, you can embed a custom weather widget from Windy.com. This allows you to display a live, interactive radar map directly on your Today Page.

Disclaimer: The screenshots in this article were captured using an earlier version of LENS. While some visuals may look different, the overall functionality remains essentially the same.

Access the Embed Code for the Weather Widget

  • Navigate to windy.com

  • Select the "(☰) Menu"

  • Click Embed widget on page

  • Adjust the view on the map (click and drag to reposition)

  • Configure your map options (zoom, overlays, etc.)

  • Click Copy to clipboard to copy the embed code

In an Update on LENS

  • Navigate to the Today Page

  • Create a new Update

  • Select the three-dot menu of the text editor

  • Click the <> "Code View" icon

Note: You will know you are in code view when the <> icon is blue

Add Embed Code

  • Paste in your embed code here

  • Click the <> icon again to exit code view

Note: You have to click the <> icon again in order to save your embed code!

  • See the preview

  • Click Save if you like what you see.

Example of Embed Weather Widget Code

<iframe width="650" height="450" src="https://embed.windy.com/embed2.html?lat=27.886&lon=-82.114&detailLat=27.886&detailLon=-82.114&width=650&height=450&zoom=6&level=surface&overlay=wind&product=ecmwf&menu=&message=&marker=&calendar=now&pressure=&type=map&location=coordinates&detail=&metricWind=default&metricTemp=default&radarRange=-1" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Tip: Select from a variety of map views to best suit your needs
