Certain Android users may have noticed that their new Samsung S23, for example, is not properly posting images on the correct list using hashtags. We have an explanation.
There are some messaging applications (usually the native messaging app on Androids) that are set to automatically separate SMS and MMS messages (text messages and media messages) by default. In other words, when you text a hashtag and a photo, the photo gets separated from the hashtag text so LENS receives your message as two separate texts (the hashtag and the image). Because the image looses association with the hashtag, the image ends up in the default tab when texting in with an Android.

Solution 1: Change default messaging app
If you search for "messages" or "texting apps" in the Google Play store, you will find a variety of options for messaging apps.
β
A highly used app is called "Messages" by Google. This application does not separate text messages from media messages. Install it, open it, and set it as your default messaging app.

Solution 2: Change settings of your messaging app
Depending on what you use as your messaging app, you may be able to look up instructions for how to change those particular settings. This is the best option if you do not want to change your default messaging app but will take extra research.
